party!

every year at work we have a halloween potluck and contest.  let's just say i could have gotten a lot more work done today!  some of the costumes we had - vampire beauties, dog the bounty hunter, a pimp, drunk college student, hockey player, dorothy and her lion, pacman and the ghost she gobbled up, giants fan, crazy disney fan, village belle and her little belle, pirate, and a circus assistant lady (sorry lisa, didn't know the name of your character).  we had a lot of fun and i'm already of thinking what i could be next year :)

disney on ice

lianne and i spent some time together on saturday by watching disney on ice magical adventures and afterwards, playing at the park.  as soon as the lights were dimmed, lianne were clapping her hands.  she kept asking where lilo was and i told her that lilo was taking a nap.  lianne then asked where stitch was and i told her stitch was taking a nap with lilo.  lianne seemed satisfied with the answer, but she asked me again five minutes later, and five minutes after that, and five minutes after that.  of course when lilo and stitch went on, she got out of her seat and screamed.  she recognized the music and started to dance and waved her little light toy.  so cute!!!  lianne kept asking what happened to lilo and stitch when their number was over - i told her they got tired and had to go nap. 

when we were walking to our car, lianne saw the carousel and a park across the street and of course, that's where we went.  she didn't want to leave, so i bribed her with ice cream.  i figured i could do that because i'm the aunt and i could spoil my niece :)  and yes, i did get her ice cream. i had fun with lianne and i think she had a great time too!

lianned loved the carousel.  all the other kids kept looking at her - she didn't care.  whee!!!

alcide!!!

if you are a true blood fan, you know who i'm talking about!  pinkberry had a grand opening at their new store in santa clara and thanhha told me that joe manganiello was going to be there.  i of course didn't believe her.  come on, in the bay area and barely 5 minutes from where i live???  i figured he would be signing autographs and letting fans take pictures, but he was a dj instead!  what the hell?  i guess he's into that.  i waited about 40 minutes to get my picture taken with him, while other people waited in line to get free yogurt.  i could get free yogurt anytime!  getting a picture with alcide - priceless! 

there were three girls in front of me and you thought i was going crazy by gulping down my dinner and rushing aaron to go with me - i was nothing compared to these girls.  they were saying how they were going to faint, etc.  we were all laughing and having a good time.  then i started to tell the girls about joe and his real life fiance (yes, she was there too), where they met, when they got engaged, how long they were together and they asked if i was a stalker.  haha.  i'm really not a stalker. 

it was my turn to take a picture with him and aaron came over to take it, except instead of taking the picture, he turned off the camera!  so we had to do it again, which i didn't mind because it meant i got to stand next to him longer.  hehe.  oh, before i got my picture taken, i asked one of the girls to hold my purse.  after aaron took my picture, i was so giddy that i almost forgot to grab my purse back! 

what a great way to end the week!  :)

when is daddy coming home?

every tuesday aaron goes out to the running club to do some track workouts, so he doesn't come home until a little after 7:00.  here are the furry babies waiting for him.

i got the panda costume several years ago.  it was a little tight on riley.  way too small for emma, but now it's perfect on dexter!  i don't think dexter even moved a muscle when i put it on him :)

relaxing weekend

nothing much went on this weekend for us.  aaron was thinking of doing the oktoberfest 5k in campbell on saturday, but he wasn't feeling well, so we ended up walking the dogs for 45 minutes around the neighborhood.  we did the same walk on sunday too, except in opposite directions.  i wonder if it smells any different for the dogs when you go the other way?

i saw a couple of chic flicks too - because i said so and leap year.  because i said so was an okay movie.  diane keaton was really annoying.  i told aaron she reminded me of tom skerritt (i'm not sure why i thought of tom skerritt, but if you really look at her, she could be his sister).  leap year was a cute movie.  predictable, but still cute.  the main guy in the movie wasn't bad looking either :)

dexter is a chicken

another costume from sandy's halloween closet - a chicken.  as you can see, it's a little big on dexter, but he tolerated it long enough for me to take some pictures :)  i remember riley in this costume - one of my favorite pictures of him. 

pretty toes

a few of us girls at work went to pinkies nail salon during lunch on friday and got our toes done.  i love this place!  the decor is cottage style - so cute!  and no, we did not want to go back to work, but we did.

usually we see emma on the bay window by herself and once in a while, when dexter jumps up, emma jumps down.  i think she knows that dexter is here to stay, so she better share :)

not sure if emma was just too tired to move away from dexter :)  i'd like to think that they are becoming best buds!

aaron had columbus day off, so i figured i might as well take the day off too so we could take emma and dexter to the beach.  i had a client meeting in the morning, so i ended up taking a half day.  emma and dexter had fun sniffing everything they could.  i read an article once that when you take dogs to new places, it's like a party for their noses!

i love those little cute pumpkins!  every year i take a picture of the furry babies with them.  this year is no different :)

santa emma

emma loves getting the fuzz out of her plush toys.  you put them back in and she just takes them out again.  she took some fuzz out and this is the result - i just need to put a santa hat on her!

halloween came early

my friend sandy let me borrow costumes that she had for her dog, tank.  emma and dexter modeled some last night for us :)

leftovers

this is how emma is every night after she gulps down her dinner.  she waits for dexter in hopes that he has some leftovers.  sometimes he does, and sometimes he doesn't.  emma is hoping that he does!
