batman birthday party

we started to sing happy birthday, but then pierce wanted us to turn off the lights.  so we all stopped, turned off the lights, and started singing again.  the boy knows what he wants!  it was too funny.

pierce's batman birthday decorations

pierce is into batman now and wanted a batman birthday party.  of course his favorite auntie had to oblige.  :)

hung up the welcome sign on twine and used miniature clothespins

found the pails at the dollar section at target, cut out the words and spray glued it on the pail so kids can put their goodies in there when they leave

yummie cupcakes!  i made 50 of them the morning of the party.

more goodies ;)

kids loved the oreos

did the same thing here like the welcome sign - used miniature clothespins to hang up the letters.  cute huh???

homemade batman capes!  aaron and i made all 45 of them.

we made some pink ones for the girls - so cute.

a walk in walt disney's footsteps

did you know that disneyland offers tours?  well, we didn't either and wanted to see what one of them entails.  we chose to do the walk in walt disney's footsteps.  tour lasts 3 hours and they talk about what inspired walt to start disney (it was the play peter pan), and they let us to go on peter pan ride (my favorite ride) without waiting in line.  we felt really special.  :)  one of the cool part of the tour was we got to go in the lobby of club 33.  three ways to get into club 33 - be a member, which by the way has a 14-year waiting period, know someone that's a member and can get you in as a guest, or do the walt disney's footsteps tour.  the other cool part of the tour was we got to go up to walt disney's apartment.  really neat.  too bad the tour didn't take us into the dream suite - that would have been awesome.

start of the tour on main street

club 33 is right next to blue bayou

elevator on lobby of club 33 - walt saw the elevator at a paris hotel and wanted it, but the hotel said no, so he sent architects there to take measurements and had the exact one put in club 33.

we couldn't go upstairs, but we were allow to take a pic in the elevator

yummy caramel tart dessert they gave us

inside walt's apartment.  they were really strict - no cameras allowed and only one picture in your party

meeting disney characters

disney california: radiator springs racers

this ride is awesome!  out of the three rides at carsland, this is my favorite.  we got a fastpass the first time and used the single rider the second time around.  people were waiting 2.5-3 hours for this ride and we waited about 15 minutes both times.  if we live in LA, aaron and i would have an annual pass to disneyland.  :)
