sonny & ming's wedding

last weekend we were in santa monica for sonny & ming's wedding.  talk about a gorgeous couple!  and what can't ming do?  she did all the centerpieces, party favors, etc.  i asked if she baked the wedding cake, but she said no.  :)  and this girl can dance.  i'm pretty sure she can sing too.  we had a great time seeing family from australia and just hanging out.  hopefully it won't be another 5-10 years before we all see each other again.

fun. concert

we had fun at fun. concert.  :)  it was my first time at the greek theater in berkeley and i loved the venue.  the weather that night was absolutely perfect - no wind, nothing.  we found a pizza place and had it while we were waiting in line.  people were asking where we got the pizza.  if i was the pizza owner, i would have employees walking up and down the line and sell the pizzas!

canine companions for independence (cci)

several weeks ago i had the opportunity to go on a cruise around the bay and found out more information on cci.  good thing i had phelps who kept me distracted as i was getting sick with the swaying of the boat.  cci breeds their own dogs (goldens and labs) and train them to become companions for people who needs assistance in their daily life activities.  if you become a volunteer, you get a cci dog when they are 8 weeks old and then you return them when they are 18 months old and they go to "college."  i think i would be heartbroken!  and if the dog doesn't graduate from college, you get first dibs on keeping the dog.

phelps was so darn cute!  i wanted to bring him home with me.
