I am so glad it's the weekend. I was busy at work getting ready for my open enrollment meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday I was in SF all day and Thursday I flew to Washington for the day. Whenever I fly somewhere, I always say hi to Riley, Sake, Nicky, Midnight, and Nickel (all our pets that we dearly miss). For some reason, I always feel that they keep me safe when I fly, cause I always get anxious. Sometimes I'm happy when I say hi to all of them and sometimes I have tears in my eyes cause I wish they were still here with us.
When I was in Washington, my client and I went to a Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. I was surprised that she ordered pho. Why you may ask? Probably cause she was white and she was young. I then noticed that the lime green sweater I was wearing was the exact same color as what the employees were wearing. My client said she was surprised that no one asked me what they should order. Note to self: do not wear green next time I visit my client in Washington.
Work gave me a new laptop because my old one was so damn slow. I love it! Windows 7 is pretty easy to use.
I was watching Dr. Phil and it was about personalities. Aaron took it and he was a mouse. I took it and it says I'm a badger. Badger??? Aaron couldn't stop laughing. If you are interested in taking it, it's real short, click on www.animalinyou.com. Have fun!
Nothing much going on for Aaron and I this weekend. The usual routine - running, Costco, nap, walking Emma, and hanging out. :)

ahoy mate!
aaron's work had a team building event and they all went sailing in santa cruz! lucky. there was 30 of them and each yacht had 5 team members. aaron said it was a lot more work than he thought - figured he would just stand there, but everyone had a job and took turns on being at the helm.
could you spot aaron and i? okay, that's really not us. figure that could be us if i was actually out there with aaron :)

one mile at a time
aaron had a one mile race in san rafael this morning. the race was broken out in different heats based on your age. aaron's heat was last because aaron is in the open division (anyone under 40). the picture is pre-race.

emma waiting for more water and waiting for daddy to run by so she could cheer him on :)

there he goes!
20 yards to the finish line. aaron's mile time was 5:40 something. woo-hoo!!! he is now napping on the couch ;)

hot dog

emma doesn't do well with the warm weather. poor baby. aaron looked up her breed and he said she has two coats (inner & outer), therefore she heats up faster. when i know that the weather is going to be warm, i wake up a little extra early to walk her before the sun is out. when aaron walks her during lunch, he purposely walks in areas that have shades for her - i know, so damn spoiled :) usually we walk her right after dinner, which is around 6:00, but lately we've been waiting till 7:30-8:00 to walk her so she doesn't get overheated.
i read somewhere that there's a "cooling" coat for dogs in warm weather. wonder if that actually works.

so what did aaron and i do over memorial weekend? i know, such nerds but we don't care. we love the disney photomosaics puzzles. :)
we did manage to get off our butts and went cherry picking.
tin & huong picked 14 lbs! pigs. mom & dad picked 12 lbs and aaron & i picked 10 lbs. yummie! good thing cherry season (to pick cherries) only lasts 3 weeks or else i would turn into one. :)
