picture galley

i finally finished my picture gallery project for the end of the hallway.  i was going back and forth between doing the pictures all in color or in black/white.  i decided to go with both as some of the pictures are too pretty to do in black/white.  the experts said there should be a theme when you hang gallery pics - so the theme is having fun outdoors.

princess birthday party

i can't believe lianne is 4 already!  she wanted a princess birthday party and i was in charge of the dessert table and decorations.  i was inspired by all the blogs i follow and below is what i did.

crowns & tiaras for the princes and princesses.  goody bags to take yummie candy home.

homemade frog gummy candy skewers

isn't this adorable?  thanhha made the cupcakes and aaron frosted them.  i made the cupcake toppers.

these are adorable too! :)  jars were borrowed from huong.

i think this looks way better than the store bought ones.  i found a template online, printed them, and strung them with ribbon.

i meant to take a close-up of the banner because it had crowns on them - very cute.  i bought the banner at target.

the pom poms were homemade.  i made ten of them and hung them in the front and backyard.  instructions on how to make them are here.

cotton candy!  who does not love cotton candy?  and no, we did not make these.  i found them here.

throne chair for the birthday princess.  i know, the words were a little crooked, but oh well.  :)

what a beautiful birthday girl!

party guests

mom & lauren (she is such a ham too!  when i was taking her pictures earlier, she was posing, and then sat down, fanned out her dress, and tilted her head).  sooo cute!

happiest place on earth . . . again

this is our second time to disneyland in a couple of months - too bad disneyland is not closer or else i would buy a season pass.  lianne was a princess for the day and she was "cinderwella."  she loved it and kept waving her wand around.  this girl is not afraid of heights or anything.  we went on the jelly fish ride and as we go up, i'm thinking dear lord, this is a little high.  in the meantime, lianne is laughing and raising her arms.  now i understand why parents stay at least a week at disneyland with their kids.  kids do not last as long as adults and they don't go on as many rides in a day.  next time i will stay at least 3 days with lianne.  overall, i think everyone had a great time.

just because . . .

hello sunshine

i love the color yellow and decided to paint our mailbox yellow for a pop of color.  it puts a smile on my face everytime i see it.  love it!

mailbox color was this ugly brown/black color.  the gray is the primer color.

watch tv. get rewards.

my sister told me about an app called viggle and since i can get free stuff on it, of course i downloaded it.  you basically earn points by watching tv and you can redeem your points for gift cards to target, amazon, old navy, target, etc.  so far i got $30 in amazon gift cards and $20 in target gift cards.  make sure you read the tips on how to get more points.

happy valentine's!

doggie biscuits for our furry babies.  you can find the recipe here.

this one is for aaron after his run last sunday :)

52 reasons i love you

i wanted to do something special for aaron and saw this cute idea on papervine.  it was so easy and didn't take any time at all.  the great thing about this craft is that it makes you realize why you fell in love with that person :).  i love it and i hope aaron did too!

valentine's fun run

last sunday we did the 5k valentine's fun run in campbell.  tin did really good - his official time was 30:07.  i'm sure he can run under half an hour in no time.  keep it up tin!
