happy easter

we hosted easter dinner at our place and had an easter egg hunt set up for lianne and pierce.  it was fun watching them searched for eggs.  pierce stopped searching when he saw a toy car in one of the easter eggs.  lianne had fun running around and emma and dexter joined in on the fun by barking.

easter egg rice krispies! saw on better homes & garden and thought it was a really cute idea.  aaron dyed the marshmallow pink and we put it in the plastic egg (spray a little pam so krispies doesn't stick).

bol park in palo alto

we took advantage of summer-like weather on saturday and took the furry babies out on a little field trip to bol park in palo alto.

saw this at tjaxx homegoods and fell in love with it.  it is now hanging in our entry and i love the shabby cottagy look.

i first posted about the lovebirds back in June of last year and was wondering if they would ever come back since we moved their nest, and they're back!  probably not the same birds, but at least they are using the thing i put out for them.  sooo cute.  i hope to see baby birdies soon.

easter egg hunt . . . for doggies!

i know, easter egg hunt for dogs?  yep, the event was at the wag hotel in sf.  ridiculous, i know, but i wanted to try it out once to see what it was like.  emma had a blast, she must have found at least 20 doggie biscuits and gulped it down.  dexter was not too fond of all the commotion, but he did okay.  gus and shawn had a blast too.  :)

i love having fresh flowers in the house.  these i got from my dad's backyard :)

my goal is to plant some flowers in the backyard so i don't have to go around stealing flowers from my neighbors.  just kidding!

dexter is really good at sitting up and balancing himself for a long time.  he does this when he wants something, aka - begging!

cirque du soleil: totem

we had fun watching totem in downtown san jose.  the stunts were amazing.  i wonder how long it takes the performers to train and practice.  can't wait for the next one to come into town.

vasona park

we took advantage of the nice weather we had earlier this week and took emma and dexter to vasona park.  they loved it - although i think they loved eating the duck poo more!  ewww. 

when dexter pants, his tongue curls up.  when emma pants, her tongue hangs down.
