melita bowling

my company closed down for half day and we all went bowling.  i bought crowns to give out to the first place team.  we also had individual prizes and i made sashes and put the following words on each of them: highest score, lowest score, and most improved.  highest score also got a lion, lowest score got a skunk, and most improved got the book "the little engine that could."  i'm giving credit to aaron as he gave me ideas on the prizes.  everyone had a blast.

cirque du soleil - amaluna

we watched amaluna under the big top in downtown san jose.  we went last year too and i think we'll make it a tradition and go every year.  such an awesome show. the performers were amazing - crazy flexibility and balance.

i saw this lady walking her dog who was wearing a fleece sweater and asked her where she got it because i wanted one for dexter.  he gets cold easily and thought he would love it.

happy valentine's day

i was going to do a candy table at work, but my boss suggested to do a fruit table instead and below is what i came up with.  everyone loved it.  :)

saw this little plant project on martha stewart - put succulents in wood papercup (i lined it with dixie cup).  everyone in the office received a plant.

aaron and i like working on photomosaic puzzles.  this one we did during new year's - aaron did the majority of it because it didn't come with a poster (so i can use to help me locate where the pieces would go), so i only helped with the borders.  :)

i'm a little behind on my posting.  been really busy at work and also been lazy.  :)  we celebrated stephanie's 34th birthday early in january.  you don't look a day older than 29!

hot chocolate run

a crisp morning for a race - so glad that jared was there to drop us off and picked us up as there was no parking whatsover.  there was a 5k (3.1 miles) and 15k (10 miles).  so glad i did the 5k.  :)  love the hot chocolate shirt that they gave out - a hooded long sleeve running tech shirt lined with fleece.  really cute.  the best part of the race - hanging out with my friends gillie and lana.

every year we do a puzzle to ring in the new year.  this is how old we are - we went to bed at 10:30.  :)

i helped with the borders.  aaron did the rest.  :)

we celebrated christmas at tuan and stephanie's.  santa got tuan some disposable women's underwear.  haha.  i'm sure those will turn up again . . .
