spartacus

one of our favorite shows just ended.  spartacus: gods of the arena.  it is a prequel to our other favorite show, spartacus: blood and sand.  we can't wait until the second season of spartacus: blood and sand comes out in 2012.  if you haven't seen this show, i have to warn you that there is a lot of blood and nudity.

vasona park

while aaron was running at vasona park in los gatos on sunday morning, i walked emma and dexter around the park for an hour and 15 minutes.  there were ducks everywhere, and that meant there were green duck poo everywhere.  and that meant that emma and dexter would try to eat them every chance they get.  gross.

my cousin sonny and his girlfriend ming are visiting us from new york.  sonny is from australia and has been living in new york for the past 10 years.  how time flies!  they might move to los angeles sometime next year - which means they will be closer to us :)

favorite snacks

i didn't expect anything for valentine's, but aaron surprised me with a few of my favorite snacks.  i love little things like this - it means more to me than a fancy purse (although i wouldn't mind that either! hehe, just kidding).  aaron made the card too.  i love my husband.

house hunting

this weekend we planned on seeing 12 houses, 10 on saturday and 2 on sunday.  right off the bat on saturday morning we eliminated three houses because they were further away (two by los gatos and one is an eichler in sunnyvale).  we decided against an eichler because we think they will require a lot more maintenance.  the first 2 houses we saw we did not like at all - one was on a busy street and one had a weird layout (a family room addition was not well done at all).

out of all the houses we saw this weekend, there was only one that we liked.  we love the layout of the house and the neighborhood seems very nice.  one thing we are unsure about is how much car traffic there will be on that street.  aaron and i will stalk the street to see if it will be busy or not. 

this is the family room of the house that we like - i love how open it is and how the room gets a lot of natural lighting.

emma and dexter are getting used to living in the apartment.  they still have to get used to all the little noises here and there though - so are we for that matter.

wjvs banquet

what is wvjs?  it stands for west valley joggers and striders - our running club.  every year our club have a banquet and it's great to see everyone out of their running clothes.  doesn't aaron look cute???  i love his smile in this picture :)

go sharks!

aaron's company had their company holiday party back in january at the sharks game.  it was our first time at a sharks game and we had fun.  i wasn't too fond of guys fighting each other just for the heck of it and was even more surprised when the ref just let them fight until one of them falls down on their knees.  at this game the sharks was on a losing streak, but they won that night and i think they are winning now.
