happy anniversary

aaron and i celebrated 8 years of marriage on wednesday.  time sure flies when you are having fun :)  we took the day off and spent it in carmel with emma and dexter.  had lunch on the  patio at village corner and emma and dexter behaved perfectly.  of course it also helped that they got treats too.  i love carmel - very charming and best of all, very dog friendly.

lotion discontinued

i found out that the lotion that i've been using for years, we are talking 20+ years, is being discontinued.  well, at least they don't sell it in the stores, only online.  so i wasn't sure if that means that they will no longer have it available at all, so i ordered a bunch of them.  they were having a special, buy 3 get 3 free. i bought 12 and got 12 free - wonder how long it's going to take me to use all of them?

i'm going to south america!

that is what lianne said when she woke up monday morning - i'm going to south america!  hehe.  how cute.  what she meant to say was i'm going to great america!  i think lianne had a blast - went on the logger's run twice - she wanted to get wet because i covered her the first time.  that girl is not afraid of heights at all.  our first ride was centrifuge - it spins and just tosses you around.  lianne loved it, but mom and i got a little dizzy afterwards.  she wanted to go on it again, but i was able to distract her by talking about another ride.  :)  we had a great time and i'm looking forward to our next outing.

last weekend we hung out in diamond springs.  went to a small craft faire and found emma a toy - it says on the box "toys to stimulate your dog's brain."  we had our doubts, but emma figured it out.  :)  had breakfast at sweetie pie's and they make the best bread.

tissue pom poms galore

my friend mari asked if i could make tissue pom poms for her wedding and of course i said yes.  :)  i made a total of 52 pom poms, but 16 of them were rejects.  i folded the tissue on the wrong side and it didn't fluffed up right, but i kept on making them thinking that they would somehow magically turned out okay.  well, they didn't and i had to order more tissue and thank goodness it came in time for me to make them.  i was stressing just a little bit there.

 wedding was held at mari's family friend backyard in morgan hill.  good thing i got there at noon to start setting everything up because i finished with only a half our to spare!  had to improvise a few things, but at the end, i think everything turned out good.  i love the colors of the poms poms!
