4th annual cherry picking

we went to a different farm this year - nunn better farm in brentwood.  we didn't need to climb the trees to pick the cherries as the branches were low enough for us to reach - yes, even me!  between aaron and i, we picked about 14lbs of cherries, mom picked 7, tin and huong also picked about 14lbs.  thank goodness we got there early because when we left around 11:30, there were tons of people and traffic.

pedis and all-you-can-eat sushi!  two of my favorite things to do with my friends.  and lots of laughter.

i wanted to spend my birthday in carmel.  emma and dexter loved being off leash on the beach.  we walked around downtown and had brunch on the patio at village corner.  everyone is conked out - including aaron.

last week we went to see of monsters and men at the fox theater in oakland.  we decided to take bart there as the theater was a block away from where we got off.  thank god we took bart as it would have taken us forever because the warriors was also playing that night.  it was our first time at fox theater and it was very nice.  of monsters and men were great!

diva 5k

day after we did the ranch romp, the next day we did the diva 5k in burlingame.  at the finish, we got a boa, tiara, champagne or ginger ale, food, and cute shirtless firemen giving us our medals.  i would definitely do this race again as it's a very flat course and lots of fun.  might do the half marathon next time.

ranch romp

several weeks ago a bunch of us at work did the 5k ranch romp in hollister.  it was fun event.  i'm glad we had the 10:30 wave because it got really warm later on.

mom loves chinese food, so we took her to this chinese restaurant by joy luck palace in cupertino.  had pearl drinks for dessert - yummie!

mister mister is one of dexter's nicknames - here he is napping.  didn't even know we came come.  i wonder if this is where he naps all day?

disney family museum

since we are disney fans, where else would we go to spend a saturday?  yep, at the disney family museum in the presidio.  if you are a disney fan, we would recommend this place - not a place for kids though as there are lots of reading.  we spent about 3-1/2 hours at the museum!

terra cotta warriors

10 life size terra cotta warriors are in town until the end of may, so we went and saw them at the sf asian art museum.  it is amazing how the first emperor of china thought about his afterlife.  

bookcases

instead of buying bookcases, i bought crates at joann's and painted them.  now i'm debating if i should repaint and make them white because the stuff i put on them will stand out better.  or i can leave it and then all the stuff i put on them will be white.  what do you think?
